Deweese resident Kenneth Robert Volz, 40, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2019, unexpectedly on the farm in Deweese, NE.
Memorial Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 13, at Fairfield Community Presbyterian Church in Fairfield with Pastors Joyce & Ivan Dean officiating. The family requests casual attire be worn to service, overalls are welcome. Private family burial will be at a later date. Memorials may be given to the family. There will be no viewing or visitation.
Kenneth was born January 22, 1979, in Hastings, NE to Kenneth L. & Dorothy Lea (Babcock) Volz. He graduated from Sandy Creek High School in 1998 and North Central Kansas Technical College receiving his degree in plumbing and heating/air conditioning. He returned to Deweese and worked at Deweese Sand & Gravel as a mechanic for 20+ years. He took care of the family farm, which was something he loved to do. Kenneth enjoyed working on cars. He was a jack of all trades and could fix anything.
Kenneth met Jennifer in 2012 and they made a home together, he became a father to her children and became a big part of their lives. He was a gentle giant, he would give anything of himself to help others. Kenneth would pull nieces out of the ditch, without telling anyone.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
